Dear Lady Members,                                                                                                              7th November 2016

Welcome to the Bucks County Ladies Golf Association website!  Please use it as a reference point for all things County related ...... competitions, entry forms, results and the latest news.

Since joining the Junior and Exec Committees in 2014 I’ve seen for myself how hard everyone works to make our Association such a successful and well respected body.  Being relatively new in, I’m in the perfect position to enthuse about what the County has to offer.  I can relate fully to those ladies (and juniors) who are perhaps on the periphery of County golf and are a little unsure whether to get involved.  My advice to you all is ‘Come on in, the water’s lovely!’

The bulk of our membership is made up of ladies like yourselves - club golfers who enjoy the companionship and exercise that a day on the golf course provides.  We, as a County Association, aim to be ‘inclusive’ and although the Elite squad have their place and we’re keen to offer coaching and encouragement to our youngsters, we exist for the benefit of ALL our members whatever their age, experience or handicap. We serve at your pleasure and are always receptive to suggestions as to how we can improve and evolve.

In the coming year I’d like to try and visit as many clubs within the County as I can, chat to ladies who may NEVER have entered a County competition, ask them why and perhaps persuade them to give it a go.  It would help tremendously if you could start the ball rolling for me by encouraging a couple of friends to enter a County event with you.  If even a handful of ladies accept the challenge, I feel I will have achieved something.

I look forward to seeing many of you across the fairways, or meeting you at your home club, throughout the coming year.

With best wishes to you all,

Sue Ashworth
