BB&O Team Stableford

Sunday 17th March - Oakland Park GC

Bucks Team L-R: Demi, Ciara, Ana, Lily, Rachel, Fraya, Emily, Georgia.

The annual BB & O team stableford took place on Sunday 17th March.  All three counties brought teams of eight to compete for the team stableford prize.
The cup is awarded to the best team score.  Seven girls are picked secretly before the competition starts and then the best 6 out of 7 results count.  There are individual prizes for the best stableford result.

Our thanks to our County Captain Gail Sharp who acted as starter on the first tee and Sally Harborne, our county president  and Janet Beal, County junior organiser who walked the course.

The weather in the day was mixed.  All the girls set off in the dry but then they were treated to periods of heavy rain and hailstones !

The staff at Oakland Park looked after all us all very well with the girls enjoying a meal when they returned to the clubhouse.

The team prize was awarded to Oxfordshire.

The winner of the stableford was Ciara Shannon (Bucks) with 41 points and the runner up was Rachel Mackinlay (Bucks) with 39 points and third place going to Allie Holtom (Oxon) who beat Mairi Weir (Oxon) on countback with 36 points.
