Competitions, Rules & Entry Forms

The Competitions organised by the BCLGA can be categorised as follows:

County Championships
The main County Championships comprise a 36 hole stroke play qualifying event, held on one day, with the top 16 players entered into a match play knockout format to determine the overal County Champion. The Seniors Championships comprise an 18 hole stroke play event held in parallel with the County Championship qualifying rounds.The Juniors Championships are held on a separate date.

One Day Meetings
Events that take place on a specific date; any female amateur golfer belonging to a Bucks club or holding individual membership of the County can enter these competitions, subject to any specific rules for each competition. 

Competitions for Clubs
Events where entries are organised through the Bucks clubs: some being organised on a League basis, some on a knockout basis with a County organised final, some are on a one day meeting basis, some based on performance during the season.

Knock-out competitions for Individuals or Pairs
Knockout events that run over a number of months;  any female amateur golfer belonging to a Bucks club or holding individual membership of the County can enter these competitions, subject to any specific rules for each competition.

Competitions run by England Golf that may be of interest to Bucks Ladies and Junior Girls

There are some Local Rules and Terms that will apply to all the BCLGA competitions and these can be found below.
Specific rules that apply to individual competitions can be accessed alongside the individual competition entry forms.

County Championships

All of these events are open to all subject to age and handicap restrictions. Team events may be made up of players from more than one club.

3 Ball Team Alliance for ladies over 60. Usually Betterball Stableford, best 2 scores to count. Prize for Team and Individual best score. All handicaps up to 36.0 welcome

Cygnet Trophy

anytime during summer
A qualifying stableford competition held at each club, with their best results being submitted to the County; a trophy is awarded at the AGM for the best result. This is a fund-raiser for County junior golf - Closing date 5th October

Coronation Medals

2019 best scores
BCLGA awards a silver medal for the best aggregrate of 4 scratch scores achieved within the County and a bronze medal for the best aggregate of 4 net scores. One entry accepted per club. Closing date 1st March
